Oh no, not another reboot! This one starts behind the eight ball because it does not star Warwick Davis, but we do get the consolation prize of Mark Holton who starred as Ozzy in the original. This sequel immediately tethers itself to the original and does it with the appropriate amount of call backs. I did not get the feeling this one is trying to be the original. Just continue the story fifteen years after the last entry with the consistent performance of the perennial protagonist played by Davis. It's about the closest you can get to his bombastic personality and dirty smart-ass sense of humor. This is well executed modern day shlock, enjoy it for what it is. I'm convinced this is exactly what the old movies would be like today, and I consider the tone and sense of humor to be dead on. 8 of 10 for me. I enjoyed this just like the old films. This movie is ridiculous, but they are all ridiculous. Good work Linden Porco and Steven Kostanski.
