Where do you go with a title like Blood Beach? Could it be a shark movie? Or a slasher...maybe an octopus? I don't know I'm just spitballing. Oh I know, what about the beach itself! Now I'm hooked straight from the opening scene. I think this film has a lot going for it as far as sub plot and storyline and the effects look good for what it is. The biggest thing bringing this movie down is the film quality. It is actually a pretty standard horror that came way before a lot of other less original movies in this sub genre (beach horror). It borderlines the absurd with the beach biting a guy's dick off in one scene. Starring David Huffman, Marianne Hill and mother fuckin John Saxon. No 80's police precinct is complete without Captain John Saxon. This movie can do it all. It can be boring and tense, it can be romantic and funny. I enjoyed this movie for what it is and that's a free movie on Youtube. It was better than expected but not a big surprise like I found in the film Alligator of the same year. I give this a 5 out of 10 it seems like it should get more attention but not like it is so bad it's good. It is just average with a unique monster. Check it out at your own risk.
